Remember When...South Williamsport Used To Have A Summer Swim Team

Below is a newspaper clipping from 30 years ago highlighting swimming performances in a match-up betwen South Williamsport and Jersey Shore on July 1, 1982.  Interestingly enough, the pool is still there but apparantly not enought kids to fill out a swim team.  You wonder if there might not be enough kids now that Williamsport's Memorial Park pool is closed (either until renovation or forever).  Click newspaper clipping to enlarge.  Clipping courtesy of Steve Sheets family)
