The evening started with the group meeting at the Wheeland Center. From the get go, kids and adults immediately started to drink water as temperatures reached 97 F.
The group then walked to where the float was located and got their candy and other items to hand out. Again, hydrating continued. Todd Moore, float builder, is standing next to the float in black shirt and white cap.

Kids threw out candy from the float and the older kids passed candy and free one-day pool passes to kids lining the streets.

Even the coaches, head coach Patty Kennelley (white shirt, sunglasses) and assistant coach Steve Sheets (black shirt, sunglasses) got into the spirit as they walked with the team.
The swim team also had a booth at the Town Meeting grounds where they were promoting the sport of swimming. In addition, the group was selling sno-cones and glo-necklaces.
