4th of July Swim Workout - Legs!

Some Jersey Shore and Lock Haven swimmers (plus a couple of football players) took advantage of the holiday to get in a leg workout by biking the 63 mile long Pine Creek Rails to Trails.  For those not familiar with the trail, a map can be viewed here.

The group put in at Wellsboro Junction in the morning with bottles and bottles
of Gatorade and water and headed south

Lunch at Hoffman Campground, under the shade.  Next year's rule will be "make your sandwiches BEFORE you go on the bike trip"  Once participant brought their 2lb jar of peanut butter and loaf of bread.  No need to pull the whole pantry along.

It was hot.  Really hot (Weather Channel said temps over 90)!  The 63 miles took over 8 hours as swim breaks were mandatory to cool off.  A swimmer favorite is Rattlesnake Rock.  Although no snakes were on the rocks, several snakes were on the trail throughout the day

All smiles at the halfway mark

Bigger smiles at the end point in Jersey Shore.

Relaxing at Santino's in Jersey Shore for cheesesteaks and pasta.
