Anchors on the relays have one of two roles; fight off a challenge to maintain the team's lead or chew up yardage to catch the leader. Jersey Shore's 8-and-under boys 100 free relay placed their anchor swimmer, Caleb Stemler, in one of those positions.
Shore's Aaron Baker, Dylan Kitchen, and Owen Staggert fought to maintain a close swim against number one seed Lock Haven before handing off to Stemler. Watch the video to catch the result. Lock Haven is in lane 3 and Jersey Shore is in lane 4 (lane 1 is at the bottom of the video and lane 6 is at the top of the video)
