Jersey Shore Is Awash With Swimmers

The Jersey Shore area has an incredible number of swimmers but the question is how to get these kids and their parents interested in competitive swimming.  When you look at an aerial or satellite view of Jersey Shore and surrounding towns (look at pictures below) it is amazing how many homeowners have pools.  Apparently, parents want their kids to have fun and feel comfortable around water.  The Jersey Shore Swim Blog also suspects many parents view it as a form of exercise for their kids.   This situation is probably very similar in the Lock Haven and Williamsport community.

How does the swimming community promote YMCA winter swim team, summer swim team, and/or USA swimming to these swimmers?  How does the swimming community promote all the positive aspects of competetive swimming to parents?

This is just a shot of two blocks with a section of Jersey Shore.  How many pools do you see?  Click on photo to enlarge.  Answer at the bottom of this post.

It appears that there are 5 swimming pools of various sizes in the Jersey Shore picture and 4 (possibly 6) in the snapshot of the nearby town of Avis.  Multiple this small area over all the blocks and area in Jersey Shore, Avis, Antes Fort, Nippenose Valley, Waterville, Salladsburg, and all the small developments (and lets not forget all the river lots that line the West Branch of the Susquehanna River) and Jersey Shore is dripping with swimmers.
